Why some PCB use higher copper thickness? |
|
|
PCB wire size will determines circulating current limit. Some lines need a high amount of current circulation, the road must be widened heightening line. If the plus wide area is occupied by plane will be larger, PCB size is relatively large, the results can because of the higher overall product cost, large volume uneconomic. If copper heightened way, no above-mentioned problems. switching Power Supply use 2oz copper, which is one reason, another possible consideration is the use of thick copper as the way to heat dissipation, and it is easier cooling for electronic products.
