And what is the difference in the application? 硬金：Hard gold, 软金：soft gold， Soft gold plating is electroless plating precipitation nickel gold on the circuit board, its thickness control soft is elastic, generally suitable for IC packaging board with a wire.

Usually this kind of practice is used for the pcb which unable to pull the wire. because chemical gold in the overall stability of the control is more difficult, and therefore its easy to create quality problems, Generally chemical nickel gold is still focus on welding applications, its rare for applying in wire bond aspects.
