How much is the actual thickness of PCB solder mask oil? How to do 1mil? How to measure? |
|
|
Actually 1mil soldermask thickness to reach, as long as thick coating or doing multiple coating can achieve. Some boards have special application requirements, for reliability requirements are particularly high, if the thickness is less prone to cracking problem, and therefore requires special base thickness. There are some special requirements for high-voltage circuit board testing, if the thickness insufficient will cause the insulating shortage problem there. So users will impose different thickness requirements depending on different circuitboard applications. Most of the pcb factories are dependent on the printing process, when soldermask still wet state, measured by weight method or wheel to measure the thickness of wet film. but this does not guarantee that all of the regions, particularly soldermask thickness above the pcb circuit. Therefore, to improve the uniformity of the green solder mask, in addition to improving print technology, the copper thickness uniformity must make an effort above for your reference.
